When I come? ....

Any time! Our courses run all the time so you can book when it suits you, although most people visit between March and October. The turbulence and unreliable weather which can effect northern Alpine areas such as Chamonix and Morzine in summertime do not exist here in the Alpes de Haute Provence. Even in winter no other region in Europe can offer such great thermalling potential. Pilots have flown over 100 km whilst on courses with us, several CPs have flown 30 km or more as their first ever XC. You can too, it's relatively easy when conditions are right.

Accommodation

Various types of local accommodation is available, from camping facilities approximately £5 per day, through to gîte/pension/hotel from approximately £20 per room per day. We, ourselves, can offer shared accommodation Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (including wine) at 35 Euro's (about £22) per night per person, - vegetarians catered for! We have Video and Satellite Television for your entertainment. Or we can make reservations on your behalf with other accommodation suppliers. There is a swimming pool, tennis court, running track, lakes etc. in the area. There's always lots of fêtes, boules, open air concerts, bars for evening entertainment.
Current exchange rates make France a bargain! You can get here easily by road via Grenoble, by air via Nice or Marseille, or even by rail into Gap. See below for full details.
Flying sites in the immediate area include Laragne - Chabre, Aspres, St Vincent les Forts, Digne, St André les Alpes, Barcelonette, Dormillouse, Tranion, St Genis and Sederon to name but a few. Virtually every wind direction/weather permutation can be catered for allowing you the maximum airtime possible during your time with us.

Guarantee

The area has a Mediterranean climate with statistically over 300 sunny days a year most of which are flyable. In the unlikely event that you lose days because of weather, we give you a time credit for those lost days, valid for 1 year, a unique feature on our trips. Other activities in the area include Mountain Biking, Pony Trekking, White Water Rafting, Swimming, Wind Surfing, Canyoning, Rock Climbing (the Verdon Gorge is only 1 hour away), Gliding and Mountain Walking are all available locally.

Video

We make extensive use of video to enable more effective debriefing. You can even take a copy of your successes, and your mistakes (if you make any!) home with you to impress your friends.

Groups

We will be pleased to quote for "customised" trips.

Partners

Non flyers welcome - hill transport chargeable if needed.
