General
- We are
located in the lively village of La Motte du Caire close to the towns of
Sisteron and Laragne, where many record breaking paragliding and hang
gliding flights have been achieved. Here in Provence, thermal flying
conditions are the norm, and the skills learned and confidence gained here are
easily adapted once you return home. BHPA Senior Instructors provide
personal instruction, briefings & debriefing, hill transportation and
retrieves after your flights. We are there to help you get the most from
your course, your time is precious. If you are struggling to get airtime or
have not been able to fly when conditions are right for cross country, we know
we have the answer.
Courses
- Your
Paragliding Course includes transportation to launch point and retrieves after
your flights. With all the personal instruction, supervision, and general
assistance you require to help you achieve your goals. Each course is
geared to your individual needs, but as an outline we cover the
following:
- CP Completion
- If you are
EP you can finish off your CP training with us where weather and conditions
are more favourable. We have good top landable sites and you can sit your
BHPA examination once you have completed the syllabus.

When I come? ....

- Any time!
Our courses run all the time so you can book when it suits you, although most
people visit between March and October. The turbulence and unreliable weather
which can effect northern Alpine areas such as Chamonix and Morzine in
summertime do not exist here in the Alpes de Haute Provence. Even in winter no
other region in Europe can offer such great thermalling potential. Pilots
have flown over 100 km whilst on courses with us, several CPs have flown
30 km or more as their first ever XC. You can too, it's relatively easy
when conditions are right.
Accommodation
- Various
types of local accommodation is available, from camping facilities
approximately £5 per day, through to gîte/pension/hotel from
approximately £20 per room per day. We, ourselves, can offer shared
accommodation Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (including wine) at 35 Euro's (about
£22) per night per person, - vegetarians catered for! We have
Video and Satellite Television for your entertainment. Or we can make
reservations on your behalf with other accommodation suppliers. There is a
swimming pool, tennis court, running track, lakes etc. in the area. There's
always lots of fêtes, boules, open air concerts, bars for evening
entertainment.
